Summer is just starting to kick in, and summer is the most popular season for weddings! And of course, you probably shouldn’t show up to any weddings empty handed. Sometimes newlyweds can be hard to shop for, especially if they don’t have a gift registry. But there are certain gifts that you really can’t go wrong with. Of course there are practical wedding presents, like blenders or tea cups, but how many kitchen appliances can a new couple really use?

When you don’t know what to bring as a gift to a wedding, the key is to appeal to the bride. Certain gifts can be both decorative and useful, and these are the best! Decorations are always great to brighten up the home, but being able to find a use for it is like hitting two birds with one stone. Trinket boxes are a perfect example of practical decorations!

In my last post about Mother’s Day trinket boxes, I totally forgot to include the Victorian Photo Frame Trinket Box.

These trinket boxes look great when used as decorations around the house. My aunt used to have a glass display case in her living room, filled with glass figurines and trinket boxes. I wouldn’t name these beautiful treasures TRINKET Box, however that’s what they are best known as by most people. I would rather give them some other names including decorative miniature box, keepsake box, bejeweled box, treasure box or collectible curio box.

History:

Trinket box is the modern day derivative of Limoges Box. Tracing back to the 18th century, when it became a noble collectible for some of the most prestigious royalties, Limoges Box represents romance, love and classic style.
